shorties

that's me! but also applies to this entry. kinda.
1. saw happy feet! great movie! at least i thought. remember, i'm easily amused. and most importantly, i think i'm gonna buy the soundtrack. i don't buy cds...but this will be my exception. i was pleasantly surprised by brittany murphy's vocals! i REALLY hope they didn't tweak her voice after recording it.
2. as you may or may not know, i am a fan of the show, Ghost Whisperer. however, i am NOT a fan of ms. love hewitt. which makes watching this show, at times, painful. sorry lady, no offense to you. i just don't know what it is that bothers me... anyhoo, the episode last friday, 111706, about the rocker featured an AWESOME song by Midnight Hour. just found out about them through the show. i think i've mentioned it before about me liking songs that have somewhat extreme highs n lows...i think i'm explaining it wrong. well, the song is called Running Away. the chorus is what got me, cuz the lead singer goes up like 5 steps from the first note to the second (i think e-flat to b-flat...imma geek i checked on the piano), and he sings it in a higher register. don't know what, but it gives a sweeter quality to the voice and the song. well, at least that's how i see it. back to my point, i really like this song. i need to check out their other stuff. just check it out... Running Away by Midnight Hour. i think they have a myspace. who doesn't? ha. well, i found the lyrics on the web...kinda hard to find...found it on yahoo through the power of google (thanks to moonshine for posting it, whoever you are!). enjoy!

Running Away
Midnight Hour

Don't lie and say that it's okay
It's alright if there's nothing more to say

So I'm running away
I'm leaving this place
Yeah I'm running away
I'm running away

Don't tell me I'm the one to blame
It's too late for you to make me stay
No I won't stay

So I'm running away
I'm leaving this place
Yeah I'm running away
I'm running away

I'm faster than you can follow me from this lonely place
And farther than you can find me
I'm leaving
Yeah I'm leaving today

And I, I'll never let you find me
I'm leaving you behind with the past
No I won't look back
And I don't wanna hear your reasons
Don't wanna hear you tell me why I should stay

And try, and try to understand me
Try to understand what I say
When I say I can't stay
I, I'm moving on from this place
I'm leaving and I won't quit
I'm running away

I'm running away
I'm leaving this place
Yeah I'm running away
I'm running away
